Recent Projects
A customer in the machine tool industry needed a company with the capabilities to custom fabricate a hydraulic manifold to exacting specifications. This part highlighted here would control the fluid flow between pumps and actuators in a hydraulic system. MED-KAS Hydraulics was commissioned to perform all of the required work to fabricate this unit, which included the precision milling, drilling, taping, facing, and profiling. This steel component also required pocketing, counter boring, and countersinking to construct the unusual contours and recesses of this specialized unit. Work was completed on a state-of-the-art horizontal CNC machine, holding a tight tolerance of ± 0.0005". Finished dimensions of the manifold were 22" in length, depth of 16", and thickness of 8". The part was deburred after machining to remove any remaining particles, and left with a raw machined finish. In process visual and dimensional inspections were administered to ensure accuracy and quality.
Two manifolds were constructed for this project after a turnaround time of 6 weeks and shipped to the customer in Minnesota.
