Forged Steel Hydraulic Manifold

MED-KAS Hydraulics has the experience and capabilities to machine very large manifolds featuring large bores, drilled holes, and unusual contours. In the project highlighted here, MED-KAS was contracted to fabricate the custom hydraulic manifold for use in a foundry application. Forged steel was manipulated using state-of-the-art equipment including a large horizontal CNC machining center, a boring mill, and radial drill to replicate the customer specified profile. Processes including milling, drilling, tapping, and boring were employed for the precision manufacturing of this part, holding tight tolerances of ± 0.0005".

Completed dimensions of this manifold were a length of 39", depth of 38", and thickness of 34". Full dimensional and visual inspections were carried out throughout production to ensure accuracy and quality. Typical lead time for a project of this magnitude is 12 weeks. This is an ongoing commitment, with 1 – 3 units shipped per year. For more information about this forged steel hydraulic manifold project, or the other large part machining capabilities available, please see the table below or contact MED-KAS directly.
